How to Apply

CHIPATA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION wishes to inform the General Public that the college will be conducting Open Interviews for Pre-Service Teacher Training for the 2023 intake from 19^thSeptember to 30^th November, 2022 in the following progammes:-

Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teaching (ECE Diploma – 3 years)
Primary School Teaching (Primary Diploma – 3 years)
Junior Secondary School Teaching (Secondary Teachers’ Diploma – 3 years).

Secondary Teachers’ Diploma the combination are as follows;

Agricultural Science (Single)
Mathematics + Computer Studies
Social Studies + Zambian Language

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Age:

Applicants should not less than seventeen (18) years and not more than thirty-five (35) years old by 1^st January, 2023.

Academic Qualifications:

Early Childhood Education Teaching:

A full grade twelve (12) school certificate or GCE with at least five (5) credits including English.

Primary School Teaching:

A full grade twelve (12) certificate or GCE with at least five (5) credits including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.

Junior Secondary School Teaching

A full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or GCE with at least 5 Credits, including English Language and atleast a Merit in the teaching subject(s).

N.B. Applicants with certificates not issued in Zambia will need clearance from the Examinations Council of Zambia.

Applicants should attend interviews in person at the College with the following documents:

Original and two (2) photocopies of the National Registration Card (NRC).
Original and two (2) photo copies of grade twelve (12) /GCE certificate(s) or statement(s) of results.

NOTE: The school or GCE certificates should be verified by (ECZ) Examinations Council of Zambia.

Interviews will be conducted from 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours beginning from Monday 19^thSeptember, 2022 to 30^th November, 2022.

Applicants are advised that accommodation will not be provided. Applicants are required to pay a non – refundable fee of one Hundred and Fifty Kwacha (150) only.

APPLICANTS WITH DISABILITIES

The Visually Impaired can apply to Chipata College of Education.
Applicants with disabilities should take their applications to Colleges nearest to their homes.

SELECTION

Only candidates who meet the minimum entry requirements in their preferred teacher education programme are eligible for selection.
